Hi, I’m your Mediator, Angela Hamann
My interest in public advocacy began as a Paralegal, working for some of the best attorneys in their respective areas of law, from drafting Living Wills to assisting litigation teams in multi-million-dollar contract disputes. This experience equipped me with the skills to conduct legal research and draft pleadings. For mediation clients, I draft settlement documents that apply all relevant legal criteria for court approval in a “Pro Se” format, enabling parties to take control of the entire process. Mutually drafted agreements do not require an attorney to prepare or file them.
For the past ten years, I have been a practicing mediator. After earning my MS in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and completing advanced training at the High Conflict Institute in San Diego, California, I was awarded a court mediation contract in Anchorage, Alaska. Through my private mediation practice and my contract with the court system, I began working with individuals of all types who were dealing with intense conflicts in various relationships, including custody matters, divorce, landlord-tenant disputes, business matters, and highly emotional cases involving children.
As a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Certified Civil Mediator, I specialize in facilitating effective communication between parties to construct viable and long-lasting agreements in complex family-related cases, including those involving parenting agreements, divorce, and property division. With a deep understanding of conflict dynamics and negotiation strategies, I help individuals find mutually beneficial solutions without the need for prolonged litigation.
I believe in a collaborative, neutral, and solution-focused approach to mediation. By fostering open communication and guiding parties toward fair, balanced, and legally sound agreements, I aim to minimize conflict and facilitate constructive resolutions that serve the interests of all. Mediation includes guiding couples with the analysis of child support calculations. For divorce settlements and business closures, I am proud to offer a final, confidential review of the documents drafted to divide property by a highly experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
